Welcome to Margate Barber Co.

Margate Barber Co. was established in 1986 by London born owner Darren Gough. Darren was born near Tottenham and moved to Margate when he was just 5 years old. The Barbers he owns has been an integral part of the Margate Old Town Community for nearly 25 years – however there has been a Barbers on this site for over 100 years.

His success has predominantly grown from great service, a consistent approach, fantastic traditional Barbering methods but also from that great Barber banter that you get from a Tottenham / Margate Barber Boy.

Due to new Government guidelines we have made a few modifications to how we run the Barbers and these include an online appointment system. We understand that not everyone has the capacity to book online, alternatively call 01843 299 359 during opening hours to book your appointment. We will still try to accommodate walk-ins but these are not guaranteed as online & phone bookings will take priority.

We can now accept contactless card payments along with the traditional cash payment.

Darren

Darren started his career as a barber at the tender age of 13 as a Saturday boy to the Barbers he now owns. After leaving school he studied at the London College of Art and Fashion to gain his barbering qualifications.

Chantelle

Chantelle joined the Barbers in 2015 and you couldn’t meet a nicer gal. She brings a great buzz and energy to the Barbers – particularly patient and nothing is too much trouble. Darren has nurtured her skills to that of the traditional barbering methods and her beard taming skills are on fire!!!
